Don’t forget to return those books before NHIA’s winter break!

The last day of classes for NHIA’s BFA fall semester is this Friday, December 8th.  Before we all take flight, please return all Teti Library books before you leave campus, or if you’d like to take some materials with you over break, just stop by the library before 4pm on Friday and we will reset your due-dates. Have a great last week of the semester and see you in January!

See Teti Library’s winter break hours below:
December 8 – library closes at 4pm.  No weekend hours until classes resume.

Open:  Monday, December 10 –Thursday, December 14 – 9am – 4pm

Closed:  Friday, December 15 through – Monday, January 1.

Open:  Tuesday, January 2 – Friday January 15 – 9am – 4pm, no weekend hours.

Closed Monday, January 15 in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Resume semester hours on Monday, January 22 / Beginning of BFA spring semester.

Hear how Becky Field (NHIA photography certificate graduate) was able to bridge the divide between native-born Granite Staters and our immigrant neighbors through her project Different Roots, Common Dreams. (Teti Library owns a copy of this book!)

Listen as a member of the Bhutanese community recounts their personal experience—why they had to leave their homeland, what it was like in a refugee camp, and finally what has the experience been settling in New Hampshire.

Enjoy dance and song as a young person from the New Hampshire Bhutanese community performs for us.

Get to know your local poets!

Did you know that the Poetry Society of NH meets each month at Gibson’s Bookstore in Concord? Usually on the third Thursday of the month, the group gathers to read aloud in this busy Indie-style book shop.  Newcomers are always welcome to join in.
