Hockney lovers, take notice! Pace gallery in NYC is currently exhibiting new works by David Hockney through January 10, 2015. The exhibition features both his latest painting as well as his recent photography. Some New Painting (And Photography) opened in November and “… is Hockney’s first exhibition of works completed since his return to Los Angeles from England, where he spent a decade pictorially exploring the East Yorkshire landscape of his youth. The works in the exhibition demonstrate Hockney’s longstanding dedication to painting and to depicting the human figure.” See more here: Pace
NHIA’s Graphic Design II class led by Lia Scardamaglia, presented their final accordion book projects in the library on Wednesday, December 3rd. The assignment required students to create accordion books that address the subject ‘The Notion of Place,” With this idea in mind, students used their own photographs, copy, and creative layout designs to make their books reflect their favored places or inspirational topics. Some of the books were donated to the Teti Library’s Special Collections.
If you are interested in seeing the library’s artists’ book collections, contact us for an appointment by emailing email@example.com.
