Keene State College announces Children’s Literature Festival

For all you illustrators, writers, and lovers of children’s lit, Keene State College is welcoming guests to join them for their 2014 Children’s Literature Festival.
The featured speakers this year are: M.T. Anderson, author of The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, vol. one of the Octavian Nothing books set in Revolution-era Boston; Diane deGroat author and illustrator of Annie Pitts, Artichoke, Roses are Pink, Your Feet Really Stink, Charlie the Ranch Dog; Oliver Jeffers author of The Day the Crayons Quit, The Incredible Book Eating Boy, This Moose Belongs to Me, Lost and Found, among other titles; Richard Michelson author of As Good as Anybody, Busing Brewster, Lipman Pike and Twice as Good; Pamela Zagarenski illustrator of Red Sings from Treetops: a Year in Colors which she received a Caldecott Honor Award in 2010 as well as another Caldecott Honor Award for Sleep Like a Tiger in 2013. Joyce Sidman wrote both books. Other titles include This Is Just to Say and Mites to Mastodons.
