NHIA Students, Faculty and Staff are welcome to join the Msgr. Anthony R. Frontiero, Rector of the Cathedral parish on a tour of the Cathedral here in Manchester, NH. Art, architectural, cultural and scriptural history abounds throughout the Cathedral. View America’s third largest collection of Tyrolese stained glass windows. Smell the aroma of Balsam which signifies the holy oils used in administration of the sacraments, touch early 20th century sacred vessels and vestments and enter into the peaceful silence of the Bishop’s crypt located directly below the main altar, where five of Manchester’s Roman Catholic Bishops are buried. The tour includes a visit to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel and the Cathedral Library. Guests should meet in the gathering space through the front doors of the Cathedral located on the corner of Pine and Lowell Streets in Manchester, New Hampshire. Wheelchair access is available on the Bishop Denis Bradley Lane; south side of the Cathedral.
The tour is free, questions and insightful comments are encouraged and visitors leave with a lovely souvenir.
