AL-MUTANABBI STREET HONORED – BOOK ARTS SHOW IN NYC

The Center for Book Arts will be presenting an exhibition of 250 artists’ books and broadsides (prints) beginning this summer titled, Al-Mutanabbi Street Starts Here.  The exhibition will feature artists’ interpretations and responses to the catastrophic bombing of Al-Mutanabbi Street in Baghdad.  Click here to see details of this traveling show: Al-Mutanabbi Street Starts Here

The Teti Library owns three books by book artist, Christine Kermaire, who also addressed this tragedy in her work. These books are part of the library’s Special Collections.  If you would like to see Kermaire’s work, or other artists’ books, contact the library at 603-836-2532.
